Perform the playscript (in the form of puppets and small theatre) to a younger audience.
MATHEMATICS
Revision for the first two weeks of this term.
Continuation of the Year 6 units (NNS)
Secondary transition units including algebra.
SCIENCE
Revision of topics for the first 2 weeks .
Drugs Education (Revisited): Attitudes to alcohol and drug use and misuse. Identify risks and importance of being able to make informed choices. Penalties for the misuse of drugs.
Circuits/Sound: To use previous knowledge to create lighting and develop sound for puppet theatre.
ICT
Research: Children in World War 11
Writing and Using Spreadsheet Areas of rectangles
Multimedia Presentation: Become familiar with multi-media software.
Create a powerpoint presentation based on a mountain environment
MUSIC:
Develop and refine musical compositions.
HISTORY
World War 11: Life of a child during the war. Leaders, key events, key dates, the Blitz, evacuation, rationing, suffering, resilience, and courage. Measures which have been taken to prevent such happening recurring.
GEOGRAPHY
Mountain Environments. World distribution of mountainous areas.
Compare and contrast the Lake District, Austrian Alps and Hymalayas.
Research weather conditions and how this affects tourism and how the mountainous
environment affects human activity.
ART
Observe work of Landscape artists: Generate own ideas from these
observations to produce a landscape collage on a Mountain theme.
Children in World War 11 Creative Art Pupils perceptions.
DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
Exploring puppets and puppet theatres.
Design and make a theatre, backdrop scenery, including lighting and sound effects.
MUSIC
Composition: Develop and refine musical compositions.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Athletics
Skills: Cricket, rounders
Outdoor pursuits: Y6 Adventure and activity holiday at Winmarleigh

Circle Time Activities: dealing with life situations in and out of the
classroom,getting on together, being responsible, making sensible choices.

Preparing for secondary school life. Hopes and aspirations for the future.
Visits to secondary schools.

Mathematics and Science with some time spent on assessment.
